Evonik New Energies has a strong position in Germany in the market for decentralised customised energy solutions. Decentralised supply plants are integrated into specific technical concepts which have to be adapted to existing supply situations and the availability of the respective energy resources. Against this background, there is considerable demand for new technological developments in this field. In a number of projects, Evonik New Energies is investigating innovative technologies, for example in the area of fermentation plants, biomass gasification, processing of biogas or the hot dry rock process in the field of geothermal energy.
