Evonik New Energies has planned and operates a number of district heating supply networks nationwide. In order to more efficiently utilise the mine gas produced in the Saar region, Evonik New Energies operates its own, approx. 110-km mine gas grid.
The grid is fed by several operative as well as decommissioned mines owned by Deutsche Steinkohle AG.
